The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council and community would like to thank both Los Angeles County and Los Angeles City Fire Department for their swift response on Tuesday evening, October 18, 2016 at 9:15pm to the brush fire that was burning at the Aliso Canyon natural gas storage facility immediately uphill from Tampa and Sesnon. The community is grateful for the 100+ firefighters and dozens of helicopters who fought the fire on our behalf, beating it back in spite of the 30 mph winds. Thank you for limiting the fire to 23 acres and protecting our homes and families!
Amazing job! Today, the untrained eye might not realize that a fire had just burned on these mountains.
