Porter Ranch Holiday Party A Festive Occasion
Share/Save

About 300 people came out for this year's Holiday Party, hosted at the Porter Ranch Community School. The PRNC provided a delicious dinner by Panda Express complete with fortune cookies. Thank you to Walmart for donating desserts and drinks. Delightful entertainment was provided by choirs from the Porter Ranch Community School and Castlebay Lane Elementary. PRCS led off with a demonstration of Korean drumming and a song by their choir. After a dinner break, Castlebays' choirs sang holiday selections. President Paula Cracium greeted the crowd and Treasurer Sean O'Rourke explained the role of the Council in the City. PRNC Youth Representative Ethan Turer celebrated his 18th birthday with fellow partygoers. Various elected officials were represented including our City Councilmember Mitchell Englander, who popped in near the end. Those who stayed received new PRNC pens complete with iPad type stylus tip. Thank you to all who came; we hope to see you at our meetings in 2014.

Events

The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council is an organization that is officially certified by the City of Los Angeles to increase our influence with City lawmakers and departments to improve our community.

The PRNC came about as a result of Los Angeles City Charter Reform and interested stakeholders in our community. The Board is elected by stakeholders and holds monthly meetings, usually on the first Wednesday of the month. The agenda is emailed to those who subscribe (see the green box in the upper corner), on our website here and posted at 11280 Corbin Avenue, Northridge, CA 91326 on a bulletin board facing Corbin street.

The Board is comprised of volunteers who want to help you make Porter Ranch a better place to live, work and grow. We can't do it for you, but we can do it with you.
