Street lights on Porter Ranch Dr., Corbin Ave., Sesnon Blvd., and Mason Ave. have recently gone dark due to vandalism. Thieves cut and pulled wiring out of street light conduits rending large swaths of darkness on these streets. Members of the Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council reached out to the Bureau of Street Services who is now in the process of making repairs. They note that this is not the first time that our neighborhood has been affected by wire theft and they are taking steps to prevent a reoccurrence. They will be burying the pull boxes and encasing them in cement. Looking on the bright side, these spots are great for stargazing, without having to go far from home. Repairs will take several weeks.
The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council invites you to their next meeting on Wednesday, March 4, 6pm at the Porter Ranch Community School multipurpose room, located at the corner of Mason and Sesnon. The agenda will focus on use of the budget before the end of the fiscal year in June and a discussion of proposed bylaw changes. There will also be an update on Tampa striping and proposed changes in parking limits. Join our community conversation facebook.com/PorterRanchNC.
