2014 PRNC Election Results

The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council will be holding an election on Saturday, March 1, 9 am- 1pm at Shepherd of the Hills Church, 19700 Rinaldi St.

22 stakeholders have filed to run for five seats that will be up for election for four year terms as At Large Board Members. Stakeholders are defined as those who live, work, or own property in the neighborhood and also to those who declare a stake in the neighborhood and affirm the factual basis for it.  Board Members are expected to attend monthly meetings and focus on making on a difference in an issue of importance to Porter Ranch.

Now is the time to consider who you may want to vote for. Read Candidate Profiles and Information at the EmpowerLA Elections Page.

The PRNC is an officially elected City of Los Angeles volunteer board whose objective is to represent our community in City matters. The Council works closely with our City Councilmember Mitchell Englander to implement our recommendations on traffic, parking, land use development, bike lanes and more. Each candidate will be elected for a four year term. With all the potential growth in Porter Ranch, the next four years are especially important and you will want to hear from and choose the best candidates. We look forward to seeing you at the Candidate Forum.

You may contact our Election Chair ethanturer [at] prnc.org (Ethan Turer) or Outreach Chair Sean O'Rourke with questions.

The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council is an organization that is officially certified by the City of Los Angeles to increase our influence with City lawmakers and departments to improve our community.

The PRNC came about as a result of Los Angeles City Charter Reform and interested stakeholders in our community. The Board is elected by stakeholders and holds monthly meetings, usually on the first Wednesday of the month. The agenda is emailed to those who subscribe (see the green box in the upper corner), on our website here and posted at 11280 Corbin Avenue, Northridge, CA 91326 on a bulletin board facing Corbin street.

The Board is comprised of volunteers who want to help you make Porter Ranch a better place to live, work and grow. We can't do it for you, but we can do it with you.
