Event Date:
Thursday, Aug 31, 2023, 11:00 AM
Location Name:
Online
Details:

Thursday, August 31st, at 11am, the California Public Utilities Commission is going to vote on whether to increase storage at the Aliso Canyon facility.

Everyone with an opinion on the topic is encouraged to call in and share their opinion.

Join the phone queue to share your opinion.  The meeting is at 11am (one can dial in as early as 10:45am):

1-800-857-1917,  passcode 9899501#, then press *1, and you should be asked for your name. You’ll be in the queue and will hear the meeting on your phone.  Public comments start after any announcements by the commissioners, with those who are in room (Lake Co. Board of Supervisors building) first. When it’s your turn, you will hear your name and you’ll be “live” and you can start talking.

Each person will get one minute.

Unlike City Council and BOS meetings, if you are in the queue, you get to talk.

It is recommended that you start with saying whether you’re against the increase. Then you can use the rest of your minute to say whether you want Aliso shut down, and any other pertinent comments etc.

The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council is an organization that is officially certified by the City of Los Angeles to increase our influence with City lawmakers and departments to improve our community.

The PRNC came about as a result of Los Angeles City Charter Reform and interested stakeholders in our community. The Board is elected by stakeholders and holds monthly meetings, usually on the first Wednesday of the month. The agenda is emailed to those who subscribe (see the green box in the upper corner), on our website here and posted at 11280 Corbin Avenue, Northridge, CA 91326 on a bulletin board facing Corbin street.

The Board is comprised of volunteers who want to help you make Porter Ranch a better place to live, work and grow. We can't do it for you, but we can do it with you.
