Operation Gratitude Volunteers packed 5,000 care packages for local first responders at the Vineyards in Porter Ranch on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Hundreds of volunteers had a great time packaging Girl Scout Trefoil cookies, facemasks, lip balm and other essentials under shade canopies, while music filled the air. Volunteers had the opportunity to write letters on provided cards that will accompany the care packages. The Kona Ice Truck was a treat for a job well done. Councilmember John Lee was sponsoring the event, "Volunteering for Operation Gratitude is the most fun you will have volunteering!" he said during welcoming comments. Thank you to Operation Gratitude for taking care of our first responders and to everyone who came out and volunteered!
