For most folks, the local coffee shop is a meeting place for morning coffee, a bite to eat, and maybe a chance to catch up on local gossip, sports, and politics. However, four friends stand out from the usual crowd. You see, these friends meet on most mornings and soon depart on a hike through our local trails. Twice a month they go the extra mile by wielding hand grabbers and waste bags as they go traipsing up Limekiln Canyon. The two mile stretch from Rinaldi St. to Sesnon Blvd. is fertile ground for collecting thoughtlessly discarded items.
We as a community owe these four friends a debt of gratitude for the honorable and selfless deed they perform for us. Their names are Art, Leslie, Patrick, and Fritz. Should you ever see them on their trek up Limekiln Canyon, please say hello and maybe a friendly 'thank you' for their kind gesture.
