Six years after the methane blowout at SoCalGas Company's Aliso Canyon Storage Facility, new regulations are currently being drafted. The public is invited to comment on changes that could affect operations at the Aliso Canyon Gas Storage Facility. They include new regulations to require that operators of gas storage wells, like at the Aliso Canyon Gas Storage Facility, provide a complete chemical inventory of the materials that may be emitted from the well in the event of a reportable leak. The public is invited to submit comments on the draft regulations found here until November 30, 2021 (the date was extended from November 12).
