The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council hosted a well attended Council District 12 Candidate Forum giving stakeholders an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates on a number of issues of concern to the community on May 1, 2019. The Forum was held at the Castlebay Lane Charter Elementary School Performing Arts Center and moderated by David Holtzman of the League of Women's Voters. Attendees enjoyed a dinner of Chinese food while learning about the candidates and were able to submit additional questions for the candidates. The moderator posed questions on a variety of subjects giving the candidates a limited time to respond. The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council is proud to be known for providing an opportunity for stakeholders to be informed on current issues and for tackling the topics of concern.
The Council District 12 Seat was vacated by Mitchell Englander and a Special Election will be held on June 4 with a crowded group of 15 candidates. Most of the candidates were present for this Forum. They included, seated from left to right:
