February 9, 2017: The CPUC today opened a proceeding that will do two things: First, undertake an analysis of whether it is feasible to reduce or eliminate the use of Aliso Canyon while still maintaining electrical and gas reliability. Second, decide whether the CPUC should reduce or eliminate the use of Aliso Canyon, and if so, under what conditions, and in what time-frame.
The public has 30 days (No later than March 11, 2017) to provide comments on the scope and schedule of the proceeding. The below two links take you to the press release issued by the CPUC on the decision, and the decision document with the proposed specifics.
The PRNC is soliciting clarification on the public comment process and will update this page as soon as additional information is available.
