Residents are invited to submit public comment on Los Angeles City Council Files commenting on racist dialog at City Hall and calling for resignations:

One RACIST has resigned. Two more need to resign..

As individuals, call and email their offices. Submit public comment on the below council files.

As a Board, please take the following actions.

These are the latest Council Files to start the healing of Los Angeles and for Angelenos to take back their City:

Council File 22-1189, Elected Officials / Martinez, de Leon and Cedillo / Offensive Misconducts / Racist and Hateful Comments / City Charter / Immediate Resignation Demand (Bonin – Krekorian – O’Farrell – Price – Raman - Koretz): Introduced on October 11, 2022. The Resolution resolves that Councilmembers Nury Martinez, Kevin De Leon and Gil Cedillo are CENSURED for their conduct and statements during the referenced meeting of October 2021, and the Council joins the community in demanding their immediate resignation from the Council.

Council File 22-1192, Removed from Office / Select New Council President / Vacant (Rodriguez – Price - Raman): Introduced on October 11, 2022. The motion is implementing Council Rule 3, to hold an election to select a new Council President Inasmuch as the resignation of the previously elected President has removed her from that office and rendered it vacant.

Council File 22-1193, Replacement / Elect New Council President / Resigned from Office (Koretz – O’Farrell – Krekorian – Price): Introduced on October 11, 2022. The motion is calling for the Council to hold an election pursuant to Council Rule 3, to fill the office of Council President in order to replace the previously elected President who has resigned from that office.

Council File 22-1195, Racially Insensitive and Divisive Statements / Professional Conduct Failure / City Charter / Ground for Removal (Blumenfield - Rodriguez – Price): Introduced on October 11, 2022 and referred to Housing Committee. Motion resolves pursuant to Charter 209, to censure Councilmembers Cedillo, DeLeon and Martinez for their racially insensitive and divisive statements, as reported in the media, which constitute a gross failure to conform with and meet the highest standards of personal and professional conduct, even if their actions do not constitute a ground for removal from office under the Charte

Council File 22-1197, New Ad Hoc Committee / City Government Reform / October 2021 Recordings Release / Transparency and Limit Corruption / Los Angeles Residents Trust (Raman – Bonin): Introduced on October 11, 2022. Motion is calling

for the City Council to convene a new Ad Hoc Committee on City Governance Reform, which will be charged with implementing reforms to increase transparency, limit corruption, and make City leadership more representative of our communities with the aim of restoring the faith of the people of Los Angeles in their city government.

Council File 22-1196, Charter Reform Ballot Initiative / Los Angeles 2024 / Population Growth / Major Immigrant Destination / Los Angeles City Council Seats / City Residents Representation (O’Farrell – Koretz – Krekorian – Price - Raman): Introduced on October 11, 2022. Motion is instructing the Chief Legislative Analyst, with the Assistance of the City Attorney, to report on the steps needed to place a charter reform ballot initiative before the voters of Los Angeles in 2024, with recommendations that ensure representation is fixed to population growth, in order to increase the number of Los Angeles City Council Seats.

    The Vineyards at Porter Ranch

The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council is an organization that is officially certified by the City of Los Angeles to increase our influence with City lawmakers and departments to improve our community.

The PRNC came about as a result of Los Angeles City Charter Reform and interested stakeholders in our community. The Board is elected by stakeholders and holds monthly meetings, usually on the first Wednesday of the month. The agenda is emailed to those who subscribe (see the green box in the upper corner), on our website here and posted at 11280 Corbin Avenue, Northridge, CA 91326 on a bulletin board facing Corbin street.

The Board is comprised of volunteers who want to help you make Porter Ranch a better place to live, work and grow. We can't do it for you, but we can do it with you.
