December 22, 2022

Dear Members and Families of the Aliso Canyon Community Exposure and Health

Study area,

As the UCLA Aliso Canyon Community Exposure and Health Study Team, we are honored to have been selected to conduct this important research. We look forward to hearing your exposure and health questions and understanding the challenges you have faced as a result of operations at the Aliso Canyon facility.

We know the past seven years since the gas leak disaster at the Aliso Canyon facility have been challenging for you. We also know you have waited a long time for this study to begin. We take this research and the impacts you have endured very seriously, and we look forward to carefully investigating the impact of the disaster and the Aliso facility on the community.

After several months of work by the LA County Department of Public Health and our team, we now have a signed legal contract in place to begin the study. We are working quickly to develop communication channels that are regular and informative. We will notify you with more information in January 2023. In the meantime, we wish you Happy Holidays and look forward to connecting in the New Year.

Best wishes,

The UCLA Aliso Canyon Community Exposure and Health Study Team Executive

The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council is an organization that is officially certified by the City of Los Angeles to increase our influence with City lawmakers and departments to improve our community.

The PRNC came about as a result of Los Angeles City Charter Reform and interested stakeholders in our community. The Board is elected by stakeholders and holds monthly meetings, usually on the first Wednesday of the month. The agenda is emailed to those who subscribe (see the green box in the upper corner), on our website here and posted at 11280 Corbin Avenue, Northridge, CA 91326 on a bulletin board facing Corbin street.

The Board is comprised of volunteers who want to help you make Porter Ranch a better place to live, work and grow. We can't do it for you, but we can do it with you.
