2016 PRNC Board Retreat
Share/Save

On Saturday morning, October 8, 2016, the board of directors of the Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council sat down to brainstorm ideas for the 2016-17 fiscal year with over 20 stakeholders at the beautiful Porter Valley Country Club! Attendance for this event doubled from last year, and the board enjoyed hearing from stakeholders as to what the important topics of the day are for our beautiful community. Ideas ranged from asking the PRNC to host more town hall meetings to address relevant community concerns, such as safety issues & emergency preparedness with regard to Aliso Canyon, to traffic challenges on Rinaldi street, and requests for beautification along the Tampa median. All of the brainstorming notes will be published online, and shared with the corresponding committee chairs so that these wonderful ideas are taken from inception to fruition.

For your reference, our committee chairs are listed below ~ the PRNC welcomes stakeholder involvement & if you would like to learn more about a committee, please email the chair of the committee you’re interested in to find out more details:

The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council is an organization that is officially certified by the City of Los Angeles to increase our influence with City lawmakers and departments to improve our community.

The PRNC came about as a result of Los Angeles City Charter Reform and interested stakeholders in our community. The Board is elected by stakeholders and holds monthly meetings, usually on the first Wednesday of the month. The agenda is emailed to those who subscribe (see the green box in the upper corner), on our website here and posted at 11280 Corbin Avenue, Northridge, CA 91326 on a bulletin board facing Corbin street.

The Board is comprised of volunteers who want to help you make Porter Ranch a better place to live, work and grow. We can't do it for you, but we can do it with you.
