Fire Chief Ralph M. Terrazas, was promoted from Assistant Chief by Mayor Eric Garcetti July 2014. According to the LA Times, this Los Angeles native wants to fight, with the mayor, to reform the Fire Department. He will be the Guest Speaker at the April 1 meeting of the Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council, addressing the upcoming wildfire threat and LAFD service in Porter Ranch where Fire Station 28 was downgraded from a light force to a single engine company, and Fire Station 8 lost its Basic Life Support ambulance.
